If you live in the UK and you have listened to a Radio or TV in the last week you couldn’t have helped notice that parts of Cumbria have suffered from a Natural disaster on an unprecedented scale with flooding and loss of life that has resulted in hundreds of local people having their houses and businesses destroyed by the flash floods. We must also understand that these hardy Cumbrian people do not like Charity and work hard to provide for their families. I was appalled but not surprised when the Prime Minister Gordon Brown pledged a pathetic One million pounds when in the same week his Government could find 293 million pounds for overseas aid. Don’t get me wrong its nice and morally right to help others less fortunate when all at home is rosy, but this insulting amount from Brown is beyond belief. If you have a few pennies to spare please donate and help the proud people of Cumbria who have been neglected once again by the British Government. Please Help.
