Worcester soldier Tom Neathway vows to return to Afghanistan Sometimes the words Hero can be used too easily but certainly not on this occasion. You would be hard pressed to find a braver man on this Gods earth. I simply cannot do justice to him here, simple as that.


A YOUNG soldier serving in Afghanistan tells what life is like facing the insurgents in the war-torn country. THE Taliban sniper levelled his sights at the young soldier and squeezed off ten rounds. Miraculously the hail of bullets missed the target by inches as they smashed into a sandbag, spraying debris into the face of 20-year-old Kingsman Zack Briggs .For Zack, serving with the 2nd Battalion, The Duke of Lancaster Regiment, it was a ‘scary, scary moment’.
