Billy Smith was out of luck
Eighteen years old and sleeping rough
His Dad in prison his Mum a whore
Stealing car radios so he can score

In his cardboard box up a dingy street

Sat begging outside the railway station
A youth appeared who was serving his nation

MoD Takes Blame For Nimrod Deaths That’s because it was the MODs fault, but it is highly unusual to admit any liability on their part. Hopefully this degree of negligence will not happen again and the threat of legal action might just keep the MOD on its toes?

Sgt. Christopher P. Abeyta, 23, of Midlothian, Illinois, was killed last week while serving in Afghanistan. Sgt. Abeyta and two other soldiers who were with him, Sgt. Robert M. Weinger and Spc. Norman Cain III, were also killed when the vehicle they were riding in was struck by an IED. Sgt. Abeyta ran a military blog from Afghanistan called The Chronicles of Butters! and according to a news story Sgt. Ab eyta had kept a journal since he was 11-years old...RIP

HMS Brilliant F-90
HMS Brilliant F-90 seen on her return from the Falklands War. Taken as the ship passes up the Hamoaze to
Devonport Dockyard. The dark marks on the hull below the bridge area are where the ship was hit by 20mm
fire from aircraft. The damage put the forward Sea Wolf missile system out of action.
