£300m RAF Puma Helicopter Upgrades Since the Vietnam War Helicopters have been at the forefront of modern Warfare. Lack of helicopters in the Falklands War due to the Atlantic conveyor being sunk meant infantry had to Yomp or Tab depending on the colour of your beret to Port Stanley.

BMF launches new teenage initiative This is a great initiative from British Military Fitness.

Funeral held for rescue soldier RIP Corporal John Harrison, I would have preferred it if it was the journalists funeral, he was warned.

Sex offender prison visitor plea Rev Anne Hedges is a disgrace to the Church no wonder people are turning away from Christianity in huge numbers. These nonce’s are there for punishment not to have the general public visit them. I would gladly visit them all each week with a baseball bat and a pair of bolt croppers.

Royal Welsh prepare for Afghanistan mission on Canadian prairie Best of luck lads.

Jobs axe to fall at MoD site Vote Labour.

MoD pays quadruple in money + blood for Afghan helicopters Considering that this procurement will cost more than buying a fleet of brand new choppers it has MOD stamped all over it. A brand new fleet of Blackhawk’s ? Nah!!!! Thinks that’s bad see what else the wasters of tax payers money have done HERE You must admit they are consistent in their ineptitude, this degree of wanton wastefulness is no fluke these boys burn the midnight oil every night to deliver the most expensive obsolete equipment in the world.

Armed forces 'need public support' They already have the support of the public, it’s the support of the Government that’s sadly lacking.

British soldier killed in Afghanistan explosion named RIP James Prosser, you will never be forgotten.

EXERCISE TRANSGLOBE UPDATE # 7 AS TRI-SERVICES FLEET HEADS FROM CAPE TOWN Hope you all finish with a wet sail, good luck and enjoy it.

Topless march in aid of soldiers Here Here , well done girls more please, in the name of troops of course!

Surprise at Tory commitment to increased spending on arms trade Nothing new here its just business, nothing wrong with protecting British jobs.

Top soldier lashes out at Afghan elders Brigadier-General Jonathan Vance is right, the Afghans want their Country back they need to do more and allow our troops to come home and hand it over to them some time in the next century.

Royal Navy Falkland’s veteran flies against Taliban Lieutenant Commander Bill O’Brien may be 54 be has still got what it takes to fly the awesome Apache. Good luck to you Sir and give them Hellfire!!!

Royal navy nets record drug haul What do they do with £240-million of drugs? Why didn’t they just leave it all on the boat and destroy it all? Or might some find its way into the Palace Of Westminster?

'Bloated' MoD under fire Just like Gordon Browns stomach. We need to clean house.

French arms exports highest since 2000 Its interesting to se that the UK is the third largest arms dealer in the world and yet we struggle to give our own troops the best equipment!

Britain's top general in Afghanistan backs calls for more troops Yeah well Europe is a large place and about time they stopped looking to the UK.

MP is ‘humbled’ by Gurkha presence British MPS are incapable of being ‘humbled’ Kevan Jones is no different.

Rhino Records is pleased to announce their latest signing, ‘The Soldiers’ Rock on Guys!

Troops' 'hearts of lions' Our troops do have the heart of Lions, but unfortunately they are sent to War by rats.

Gov to allow more flexibility on alcohol measures What about in the free bar in the Houses Of Treason.

Arnhem veterans' emotional journey The spirit of our British Heroes like Bill Higgs live on today in the young men wearing the same red beret in Helmand Province.

Afghan-International Security Force Detains Militants Militants is a BBC tern and should not be used in this context, they are terrorists.

French soldiers die in Afghan lightning storm Mother nature doesn’t take sides RIP.

‘Hundreds’ of British troops likely to die in US Afghan surge Not a headline the politicians want you to read.

Soldiers in Afghanistan rap on MRAPs Its good that the British fazed out the death trap egg box Snatch land rovers, but the Taliban just make bigger and more powerful bombs that a tank would be lucky to survive.

US agonises over Afghanistan strategy I’m afraid War is War you cant dress it up to make it palatable to the General public.

Shahab-3 Iranian Missile Test-Launched As my Mother used to say “Its all going to end in tears,”

Calls for tax support for Welsh troops I should hope so, I didn’t know they were different this needs sorting ASP.

Decision on helmets is welcomed The MOD are the real helmets.

More brewers have pledged their support to British forces flying home after completing their tour of duty in Afghanistan. Cheers.

British Soldier Killed In Afghanistan

A British soldier has died following an explosion in southern Afghanistan RIP

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
Britain mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.

Fridays Fire Mission (Charlie one)

General resigns amid 'Afghan row' I have to admire Major-General Andrew Mackay for this decision. He has spoke his mind on this subject and resigned unlike some who know personally the great tragedy that has befallen our forces due to the incompetence and contempt in some places of our men & woman in uniform, but continue to tow the party line, until they leave the service get their big fat pension and then cash in on their memoirs about the real truth behind our involvement in Afghanistan. How much is a conscience worth?

Iran running second uranium enrichment facility Now there is honesty for you, I don’t suppose they will go as far as telling when they intend to nuke Israel?

Gordon Brown trapped between corrupt MPs and angry soldiers Pity our soldiers cant fix bayonets inside The Houses Of Treason? It is impossible to quantify my hatred for this disgusting individual that masquerades as a British Prime Minister.

'Robot' computer to mark English essays Apparently Gordon (The Red Robot) Brown has applied for this job.

One in 10 inmates in Britain's jails is an ex-soldier, shock figures reveal This sadly does not surprise me and I have warned of this on this Blog Here Lets be honest not every soldier in prison today is ill and suffering from PTSD, some ex servicemen are criminals pure and simple, they would have been criminals if they had not joined up, but there is a vast majority that are genuinely ill with battle related trauma. These young men can be in the middle of a War seeing things that luckily many of us will never witness in our lives including their best mates killed and horrifically injured, they next week they can be walking down (If they still have legs) their local high street with the rest of the Country that only sees and knows about Afghanistan from the TV and newspapers. I’m not saying that we should give every veteran that’s broken the law a free pass, but we need to treat the symptoms of why they offended in the first place. Locking them up can make matter far worse and actually make them more violent when they mix with hardened criminals in the prison system and on a revolving door of incarceration, I mean Helmand Province or Jail which would you prefer? Counting the human cost of war Unfortunately the MOD don’t look at soldiers as human beings just pieces of equipment.

Departing soldiers on city parade (Video) God speed Lads.

Soldier parade accused in court Because of the disgusting attack on our servicemen in Luton we now have the EDL (English Defence League) The police and the Government have a lot to answer to, for allowing such abuse.

Mackay and the special relationship The `Special Relationship` is ordinary to say the least!

Darwen man's medals returned, 50 years on A SECOND World War veteran has been presented with replacement medals after his own were stolen over 50 years ago. I should bloody well think so , they are rightly yours , I only hope the scum who stole them met a sticky end!

Video: Countess Sophie jumps in on first visit to RAF Wittering
I hope you enjoyed it Sophie.

Ex-serviceman's heroic effort for Poppy Appeal A FORMER musician in the Royal Parachute Regiment band has single-handedly raised more than £20,000 for the Surrey Poppy Appeal in the last year. What a fantastic effort from David Griffin, a huge well done.

Frigate crew train Caribbean Coast Guard Getting posted to HMS Iron Duke must be the best posting you can have in the Royal Navy. They should rename her HMS Sun block.

Williams pledges to 'do his bit' for British Armed Forces Being a wishy washy Liberal Democrat it will be a bit!

Mayor's trip to Heaven helps heroes A Mayor and lap dancing club, sounds like a Sunday Tabloid headline, but not this time as with this great worthwhile cause, well done to all, pity they couldn’t get the girls top give a quick demo on the poles!!

Police called in after wedding fracas at Wootton Bassett Compare this load of scum to the great patriotic people of Wootton Bassett. Says it all really.

Vulcan will take to skies at Southport's Air Show Fabulous news the military hating Socialist wont like this!

Alenia Delivers the First Modernized G.222 Aircraft to the US Air Force for Afghan National Army Air Corps Wait till the Afghans start doing their own air strikes in one of These

Ainsworth 'wasted £6m on research' You only have to look at the man to realise he is mentally challenged , that’s before he opens his cake hole then you are left in no doubt whatsoever!

Dereliction of duty The Ministry of Defence is the subject of two very damaging stories this morning. First, there are twice as many former service personnel in prison than there were six years ago. And second, Major General Andrew Mackay, a former commanding officer in Helmand, who masterminded the recapture of Musa Qala, has resigned his commission. Mackay is understood to have been dismayed at the direction of the war and army restructuring.
